Am I Eligible for the Subclass 190 Visa?

To be eligible for the Subclass 491 visa, you must meet several key requirements:

  • You must be under 45 years of age.

  • Skilled Occupation: Your occupation must be listed on the Migration  Medium and Long Term Strategic Skilled List (MLTSSL) or Short-Term Skilled Occupation List (STSOL) or  Regional Occupation List (ROL).

  • Skills Assessment: Obtain a positive skills assessment from a relevant assessing authority.

  • Points Test: Achieve a minimum score on the Skills Points Test based on your age, qualifications, work experience, English language proficiency, and other factors.

  • State Nomination: Receive a nomination from your chosen Australian state or territory.

  • English Language Requirement: Meet the required English language proficiency score.

  • Health and Character Requirements: Pass health and character checks.

  • You must obtain an invitation to apply for the visa: To be invited you will need to submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) in SkillSelect and meet the required points test on a competitive basis.
